I'm considering the BQ79616-Q1 for an automotive BMS design. Could you confirm if this is the latest and recommended solution for such applications, or suggest a more economical and efficient alternative?

    Hi Siddharth,

    BQ79616-Q1 (16S, 4th generation monitor, does not require NDA for evaluation) could be a good fit for an automotive BMS application.

    I would also encourage you to evaluate BQ79718V-Q1 (18S, 5th generation monitor) for the "latest" solution that we have available. With this device, we added new features, improved accuracy, etc. However, this device does require an NDA for engagement. To initiate the NDA arrangement process, I would encourage you to reach out to your local TI sales representative.
