UCC21330: UCC21330

Part Number: UCC21330
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21222

Tool/software:

Hi,

Iam Using UCC21330 in my design.

DT pin configurations: • DT pin float or short to VCCI disables dead time interlock function (allows outputs to overlap) • Place 1.7-kΩ to 100-kΩ resistor (RDT) between DT and GND to set minimum dead time between driver outputs • Place 0-Ω to 150-Ω resistor, or short DT pin to GND to have two outputs interlocked • TI does not recommend bypassing this pin with a ceramic capacitor >1nF.

It is saying greater than 1 nF shouldn't keep. I used below cofiguration.

What are the major siginificant problems, if we use more than 1nF.

But in my design

  • Hi Pratap,

Unlike the previous generation UCC21222 driver, UCC21330's DT function is designed to be robust against noise without the external DT capacitor.

Because of this, if a DT capacitor is used, we must be careful to not add too much capacitance to avoid affecting the internal DT pin stability since it has already been compensated internally. Too much external capacitance will affect the stability of the DT control.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Hiroki
