LM76005-Q1: Different placement of IC and inductor

Hi team,

Does it possible to mount LM76005-Q1 and the inductor for LM76005-Q1 on the different surfaces? FOr example, LM76005-Q1 is on the top side while the inductor for LM76005-Q1 is on the back side.

    Hi Yamamoto-san,

    Yes it is possible but you will need to add vias to ensure conduction loss is at a minimum. You will also want to place the inductor as close as possible to the the IC so the loop current path is short as possible and is as close to the IC as possible.
