BQ2971: BQ29716DSER

Tool/software:

  • What is the difference between the BQ29716DSER and the BQ29716DSET?

I am using the BQ29716DSER version and to initiate connection between the battery and the load, I need to either connect a charger (force current to the cell) or momentarily short the pass transistor array (as shown)

 

Is there way to eliminate this startup proceedure?

    This is just the way they are packaged. This can come in tape or reel.

    Unfortunately this start-up procedure cannot be eliminated, the short or a charger connection is required to properly power up the device.
