UCD9090A: The GPO power good behavior

Part Number: UCD9090A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9090

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Could you help to check the behavior?

We use GPIO18 pin 27 to monitor the power rail status. If the rails are good, the pin pulls high. If one of the rails is not correct, it pulls down.

We tried to open the one of ENA resistor to make the output voltage 0V and start up the system. The result is expected that the pin pulls down.

If we short the ENA pin to ground to make the output voltage 0V while the system has been start up, the pin still keeps high.

Is this behavior correct?

Please help to check this file.

  • Hi, Leo,

LGPO monitor rail power good: When startup the system and voltage stays at 0V, LGPO is low as expect because voltage is not crossed Power Good On yet. When system has been started up, to make the logic false (not Power Good), then voltage has to fall below Power Good Off. Since your power good off is all set to zero => voltage is not below PG Off. => Try to change the rails' Power Good Off to non-zero value (such as 0.1 V).

  • Hi Anne,

The customer has tried to configured power good off to 0.2V and confirmed the voltage level is lower than 0.2V. But the result is still the same.

LGPO is still high level not be pulled to low. Please help to check.

  • Hi Leo,

Anne is out of office right now, but I took a look at your most recently attached project file and found Power Good Off for all rails was still set to 0V.

Can you confirm the correct file was attached?

After making the changes and Storing RAM to Flash, can you confirm the change was made successfully and persists through power down and restart?

    Regards,

    Troy
