Hi,

I have one doubt regarding the output voltage setting of LM5170-Q1 IC, i have seen the LM5171 is having the voltage feedback pins, but the LM5170 does not have this voltage feedback pins. So, how we can regulate the Output voltage in LM5171. Can you share some input on this. In my actual application i am using LM5171 only, but simulation i am doing with LM5170, since LM5171 does not have a simulation model.

I am working on a Tina simulation for 2 phase boost converters with LM5170 IC, here how i can fix the output voltage.

My input voltage is 8V and output voltage expected is 14V, and the load current is 14A. If i am varying the input voltage the output voltage also will vary, how to regulate the output voltage.

Hi Rayees,

The voltage loop error amplifier is integrated in LM5171. You have to use external operational amplifier as outer voltage loop for LM5170.

Thank you for sharing the details. If you have any simulation or reference circuits for LM5170 with voltage loop control (external operational amplifier as outer voltage loop for LM5170), please share me to add in my Tina simulation file.

The voltage loop is included in the LM5170EVM user's guide Figure 30. EVM Schematic Part 4: Optional Outer Voltage Loop Control Circuit.

LM5171 integrates two voltage loop amplifiers while LM5170 use discrete amplifiers.
