I am writing to inquire about the differences between the following PMIC variants: TPS65941213-Q1, TPS65941111-Q1, and TPS65941212-Q1.

Specifically, I would like to understand the default settings (NVM) for each variant.

We are currently designing a new product using the TDA4VM, and I am curious about the expected output voltage when the custom board that will be received from the manufacturer (with soldered components procured from a distributor like Mouser) is powered on for the first time.

Hello Attila,

The three part numbers ending in 1213, 1111, & 1212 are parts of a set of PMICs and each will not function properly without connections to other PMICs.

To see the default register settings that are relevant to you upon boot up, see the accompanying User's Guides:

User’s Guide Optimized TPS65941213-Q1 and TPS65941111-Q1 PMIC User Guide for Jacinto 7 J721E, PDN-0C

These show the connections necessary to have a functional set of the two PMICs. The primary controller PMIC would either be a 1213 or a 1212 which pairs with the 1111 as the secondary PMIC.

Essentially the difference between the two setups is the hardware required for each setup and features that provided with each Power Distribution Network (PDN), the voltages are listed in their as well.
