TPS54425: PowerGood behavior

Hi Team,

I opened the FB terminal and conducted an overvoltage test on VCC_5V.

During this test, VCC_5V (blue) rose to just under 10V and then dropped to 0V, while the PG signal (yellow) remained high.

Is this behavior correct for the IC?

Could you upload the waveform picture and schematic? How you "open the FB terminal"?

I removed R5 from the attached circuit (tps54425_open.PNG) and conducted an overvoltage test on VCC_5V.

Hi,

The absolute max voltage on FB and VO pin is 6.5V, so 10V may damage the device. And you need to keep the device power on when you test PG function.

What's the value of PG pull up resistor R9? I see the slew rate of PG signal is very low.
