TLV743P: Temperature life curve

Part Number: TLV743P

Tool/software:

Dear Experts,

My customer is evaluating TLV743105PDBVR. with a normal ambient temperature of 60-70 degrees Celsius and a power consumption of 186mW. With temperature rise, the chip will continue to operate in a higher temperature environment. Does the chip have a temperature rise life curve to provide for evaluating whether the application scenario can work properly, how long it can work stably, and where can this data be found? Thank you

  • Hello,

Thank you for your device thermals question.

Typically, when we evaluate thermals, we use the junction to ambient thermal resistance to determine the increase in operating temperature.

For your case the equation would be:

    (186mW x 228.4(deg C/W)) + 70 deg C ~ 112 deg C.

This means that the operating temperature you can expect to see is about 112 degrees C.

Thermal shutdown doesn't happen until typically 160 degrees C, so there should not be an issue with operating at this expected temperature.

We do not have a temperature rise life curve to evaluate how long the lifespan of the device can be at this temperature.

    Best,

    Hannah
