Hi all,
I'm working on a project where I need to route an SPI bus to two destinations: a digital device on a local SPI bus and an external connector. To achieve this, I'm planning to use an 8-to-4 digital mux to select the SPI bus source using a single pin. The SPI speed is around 1 Mbps, and the voltage level is 3V.
Furthermore, I need the mux to protect my device when powered off. Specifically, if the external SPI is active while my device is off, I want the mux to isolate the SPI signals from reaching my device to avoid any voltage leakage or interference. In other words, the mux should block or isolate any voltage input from the external SPI when my device is powered off.
Do you have any recommendations for a suitable multiplexer or a solution to achieve this? Any specific ICs or design tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
