Tool/software:
Hello,
I am trying to use the TPS7H5005 as a controller for a flyback circuit, and would like the ability to periodically turn off the controller. When I try to either lower EN to 0 or raise FAULT to 3.3, the OUTA does not go to 0V as expected, but appears to stay in whatever state it was in when I tried turning the controller off. So I am seeing OUTA staying high for approximately 5-10 seconds after I turn off the controller. If it is useful to know, it seems closer to 5 seconds if I lower the EN pin, and closer to 10 seconds if I raise the FAULT pin. These are not exact timings, just me roughly counting out loud. Both OUTA and SRA are going to a gate driver - UC3708NE.
I have a 10 k*ohm pull-down resistor on both OUTA and SRA. At this time, I am only testing a single output channel, so OUTB and SRB are not connected to anything, but also have 10 k*ohm pull-down resistors.
Could you please tell me the expected behavior of the OUT* and SR* pins in the event either EN is brought to 0 or FAULT is brought above 0.6V?
Thank you.
