UCD9090A: Using an .xml file to load a configuration.

Part Number: UCD9090A

Tool/software:

Hi All,

Recently I have been trying to load a .xml configuration file on to a UCD9090A. My current findings and attempts have lead me to launching the fusion digital design software in offline mode with the .xml. After that I then try to save the file as a .tifsp hoping to save the configuration and launch in online mode. When I do as such I can load in the .tifsp but there is an error about the wrong PMBus address being there. I confirm that there is a difference in addresses but I cannot find where to change the PMBus address either in the .xml file or the .tifsp. I also tried to scrub the scrips in notepad and had no luck with that. Any advice as to how to change the PMBus address in offline mode or the .tifsp in any way would be great.

  • Hi,

The UCD9090A address is set by pin detection at start up. In order to import a .tifsp file, the address of the file needs to be the same as the device, but importing a .xml file does not have this restriction.

You should export the up to date project file (.xml) from your offline mode, then import that .xml file to the UCD9090A device once connected to it in online mode.

    Regards,

    Troy
