TPS25751EVM: Power supply port when flashing the configuration

Part Number: TPS25751EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25751

Tool/software:

Is J2 correct power supply port to use when flashing the configuration onto TPS25751EVM?

I get a flash error when using the J2 port, but I can flash the configuration without errors when using the J3 port.

Isn't J3 the correct power supply port?

  • Hi Kondo-san,

J3 USB-C port is connected to TPS25751 and can be used to provide power to the EVM. Powering through this port will boot TPS25751 in dead battery mode but there are no issues with using this port as the "power" port.

J2 USB-C port is the dedicated power port for TPS25751EVM and provides power to the entire board, it does require a minimum of 15V adapter to be used in order to provide enough power for the EVMs power rail. Also double check and make sure the J1 jumpers are set appropriately as shown below:

    Thanks and Regards,
