BQ28Z610: Clarification on Supply Current Values in BQ28Z610 Datasheet

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

I am currently working with the BQ28Z610 IC and reviewing the supply current values in section 7.5 of the datasheet. I noticed that for certain operating modes, such as NORMAL and SLEEP modes, only the typical current values are provided, while for SHUTDOWN mode, both typical and maximum values are specified.

Could you kindly clarify why only typical values are listed for some modes, whereas both typical and maximum values are provided for others? Additionally, if possible, could you provide the maximum current values for all operating modes? I need to understand the reasonable upper and lower limits to determine whether the power consumption is within the expected range.

I appreciate your assistance with this matter and look forward to your response.

Thank you for your support!

  • Hello Tom,

We don't have the Max value for normal or sleep because we do not spec these values. They will greatly depend on the FW that is running on the gauge. What values are you seeing for your application?

    Regards,

    Adrian
