Can you please confirm the connection of the sense resistor to the SRP/SRN pins? This reading is much greater than the maximum value that can be reported to this register. Is FET_EN set at this time as well?

How can the connection of the pins be confirmed, and are they embedded in the battery box?
Please check what the current being passed across the two points below going directly into the SRP/SRN pins are compared to what is being passed across the sense resistor:
FET EN is configured what function how to confirm
Please confirm whether this bit is set in the Manufacturer Status register of the device.

No battery charging . when init start ,set 0x44 and sent 0x0022, It still seen the current ma is 65401, please to analyse,
and battery charging , current ma is normal.
Thank you for confirming this, since when the battery is charging the reading is normal, we know the SRP/SRN functionality is sufficient. Can you please tell us if current calibration has been completed on this device?

If a discharging load is applied, is the current measurement being read back accurate?

For example:
when read 0xff7d, that is a negative, right, you should convert the data to a negative number and return signed short, but not return unsigned short.
now, I can read back discharge current.
