The datasheet shows individual resistors for SFT_SEL but the EVM shows one resistor for all devices.
The internal current source doesn't seem to be deactivated when working in secondary mode, if 3 devices and only one resistor shared between 3 devices , the current would be x3, so the resistor seen would be x3 of what is installed then the fast trip current lower.
I believe one resistor per device is the correct configuration since the mode pin affects the fast trip level, so each device should have an independent fast trip setting since the mode pin is different if primary or secondary, could you confirm?
