Hi Ti Experts,

we want to use the bq27Z746 in a 1S1P application.

Why does the Charge FET has no Gate Source Resistor?

I know it from the bq40z50 and other bq that there is a Gate Source resistor at the CHG FET:

Hello Klaus,

It is a recommendation to have 10M ohm gate source resistor for the Charge FET but it is not required. thanks for your answer.

This means that more transients are to be expected with a 4S application than with a 1S application (on the battery side), right?
