LM5045: output timing at max D

Part Number: LM5045

Tool/software:

For max Duty operating condition, I am not certain I understand the timing of the outputs wrt CLK and to each other.  Is what I show below correct?

  • Hi,

T1 is based on RD1 and T2 based on RD2. Yours are mixing and not correct - just read the below table from the datasheet to help.

  • I know what RD1 and RD2 are for. My diagram does not conflict with this; perhaps you have misinterpreted where I have labelled RD1 and RD2.

The point I am trying to make is, and the question I am asking is, how / when does HO/LO negate when operating at Dmax? I am showing  that they terminate at the CLK rising edge - which is not really defined in the data sheet. Am I right? Is my diagram correct in this regard?

  • Hi,

No matter what duty cycle, T1 is always for rising edge of these primary side drivers and T2 is always for falling edge. Also HO1 and LO2 are pair with SR2 HO2 and LO1 are pair with SR1. These are clear so the only thing looks to me is you are not following these then confusing yourself.
