TPS1H000-Q1: TPS1H000-Q1

Part Number: TPS1H000-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi,

Can you please help with this customer inquiry?

I have a TPS1H000-Q1 that I'm using as a relay driver in a product that I am developing. I noticed that the part is showing a brief fault every time I drive "IN" (Pin 1) high when a load is attached. The fault clears by itself and no action is needed for normal operation, however this fault trips the fault interrupt in our application. We could probably just ignore this fault, but I want to know if this is abnormal behavior. I have observed this fault using both an actual relay and on a DC electronic load tester.

I have attached a screenshot of my oscilloscope when driving a relay. The yellow trace is "OUT" (Pin 7). The blue trace is /FAULT (Pin 3).

I have also included a screenshot of how we have the part configured in our schematic.

Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I see that TI has an eval board for this part. Is there any chance you could provide one for me? It would be interesting to see if I can duplicate this on the eval board.
