TPS7H6025-SEP: Schematic review

Part Number: TPS7H6025-SEP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7H6003-SP,

Tool/software:

Hi,

Could you review the schematic for 12V to 0.8V conversion?

Customer would like to change TPS7H6003-SP in the schematic to TPS7H6025-SEP.

Thanks.

  • Hey David,

    Changes I would make that may be different than than the app note you are using as reference:

    R75 and R103 -> 2 Ohms
    D4 and D2 -> have it be a 13 V zener diode
    You dont need both bootstrap and VIN going to the BOOT pin, just VIN is fine.
    Gate resistors can be lowered to 0.
    The second high side FET is likely unneeded.
    Is better to use the dead time in the driver rather than the controller
    Dead time should be worked on for a test board in order to optimize
    C1349 is likely too high in value, true value will be known on test board.

    Thanks,
    Daniel
