TPS53647EVM-710: TPS53647EVM-710 sense lines issue.

Part Number: TPS53647EVM-710

Tool/software:

Hello,

We are testing the  TPS53647EVM-710 board integrated into one of our development boards , powering ASIC chip.

As long as the remote sense lines are set  on the TPS53647EVM-710 board , everything is OK , we get the 0.9V/~40A  output into  our board .

But, once using the remote sense lines near the load (ASIC) ,TPS53647EVM-710 output seem to be noisy/unstable :

P.S - we are using rather short(8cm) thick cables to connect the TPS53647EVM-710 to our test board.

Can you please advise what could be the issue here?

Thanks!

  • Hi Amir,

If you probe the Vout using a differential probe on an output capacitor do you see the noise being reported? It looks like there is a lot of noise near when the sense lines are connected. Some causes for noise could be system stability or layout.

    Thanks,
    Ryan
