TLV61048: Regarding TLV61048 Boost Simulation in PSpice for TI and Tina.

Hi Team,

Iam simulating TLV61048DBVR in PSpice for TI and Tina. Output voltage is 5V in PSpice for TI where as in Tina output voltage is 8V and settings derived for 6V. As per the datasheet, the feedback resistor values were calculated. Please clarify this in the simulation

Hi Gayathri,

In TINA simulation, the Vout is 6V, not 8V, so it's correct.

There is something wrong with the PSpice mode and you may use the TINA model for simulation.

Just let me know if you see any concerns.

Hi Lei,

In TINA, there was an initial spike that settled down at 6V. Is that okay

Hi Gayathri,

The initial spike should be caused by the inrush current when Vin is on. It's OK.

There is no concerns for your schematic.

I just noticed that there is a label of IOUT = 4A5 in your schematic. What's the max Iout needed in your application?

Hi Lei,

The actual load current is 0.5A. Will the XAL4030-472MEC inductor be suitable for this 0.5A current.

No problem for the Iout. And the inductor XAL4030-472MEC is OK.
