Here is a link to the solder and reflow profile MSL Ratings and Reflow Profiles (Rev. A)
Is the device configured to switch at 2.2MHz or 1.5MHz. If not, the 12V to 5V will have a large ripple current and device maybe exceeding hs current limit or sinking current limit. do you have a schematic or oscilloscope plots.
The device is ripple is hitting sinking current limit or the high side current limit.
The attached excel sheet shows the design error for the 1MHz design on the "input sheet" tab on column E.
Hi Sir,
Thanks for your reply. By using the feedback resistors of values 10k and 1k, we are able to get our desired output of 5v, when we connect it to 5 W load, the voltage is getting dropped and getting 3v. Is there any reason for that.
What are you testing a TI evm or a board you have developed?
If you are testing a board you developed, can you share schematic, board layout and
oscilloscope plots of the output voltage, input voltage, sw pin if you have access.
If there is no access to sw pin, if you can capture the output ripple (ac coupled) with a scope probe, similar figure 7-16 in datasheet
If you are testing a TI EVM, can you share the boards setting and other modifications.
Can you use a constant resistance or constant current mode on the eload and test. In constant power mode,
i think the current limit draw may be changing with the voltage.
