TPS65150: LCD Screen Blinking

Hello,

I am using the TPS65150 to generate the power supplies for my screen. Before, connecting my screen I validate every supply AVDD = 10.4V , VGH = 16V , VGL = -7V and VCOM = 3.8V.

Every supply voltage is good. My screen is switching ON and working well but it is blinking. When I use external power supply, it is not blinking but when the TPS65150 is running, the screen blink.

I realize that the thermal pad was not connected. Can this generate EMI or is it only used for power dissipation ?

    Hi Yusuf,

    What package that you are using? It is recommended to connect the thermal pad for dissipation.

    Hello,

    I am using the HTSSOP-24 package. There was an error in the footprint of the component.

    I have some news on the blinking. I tried to disconnected one by one the different voltages from the TPS65150 and supply them by an external voltage supplier.

    Fisrt step : AVDD, VGH, VGL on the TPS65150  and  VCOM on external voltage supplier => continue blinking

    Seconde step : AVDD, VGL on the TPS65150  and VGH, VCOM on external voltage supplier => continue blinking

    Third step : AVDD on the TPS65150  and VGL, VGH, VCOM on external voltage supplier => continue blinking

    Forth step : Every voltage (AVDD, VGH, VGL, VCOM) on external voltage => continue blinking

    Fifth step : Every voltage (AVDD, VGH, VGL, VCOM) on a ESP32-8048S070 evalboard => stop blinking

    I suppose that the supply voltages are not enough filtered even with an external voltage supplier. Or maybe this is due to the power sequence of the screen.

    Is this "ESP32-8048S070" having any sequence control to the LCD panel?
