What is the use of CD connection in between charge and discharge FETs. It is also present in between Precharge MOSFETs.

Hello Divya,

It’s just to show that there is a connection there between the CHG/DSG FETs and the PDSG/PCHG FETs.

Hello Divya,

Yes, it's mandatory to have that connection between the FETs as the PDSG/PCHG FETs are meant to be an alternative path to safely precharge and predischarge the battery. Section 5.2.3.2.1 PRECHARGE Mode and 5.2.3.2.2 PREDISCHARGE Mode in the BQ76972 Technical Reference Manual can tell you more about them.
