TUSB1044: application is Tablet

our client use NXP PTN38003A, and we want change to TI solution.

the client spec is support Type-c headphone, so AUX switch is from Type-C Audio, about TUSB1044 could detection AUX switch but we do not need connect to SBU?

as below chart is system diagram for Host(Source) Application

if change to TUSB1044 could workable?

if any suggestion, Please advise me.

    The TUSB1044 could work in the block diagram you've shown. The SBU lines do not need to connect through the TUSB1044, but you should connect AUX so we can snoop the aux lines.

    Does the customer's host have an integrated AUX/SBU MUX? I'm confused why they want to bypass the TUSB1044 AUX/SBU MUX in this application. The purpose of this MUX is to connect the AUXp/n lines correctly in both the normal and flip type-C orientations.
