TPS25750: Timing Issues of TPS25750

Part Number: TPS25750

Tool/software:

Hi,

My customer uses TPS25750 and the device only operates in sink mode(power from type-C to BQ charger). In this case, PP5V can be grounded, right? Because VBUS and VBUS_IN should be shorted together, is there any timing issues of power of VIN_3V3 and VBUS?

  • Hi Zach,

If operating as a sink only, PP5V can be grounded yes. VIN_3V3 can be powered in this case and subsequently voltage can be applied to VBUS without issue. Additionally, VBUS can be powered first and VIN_3V3 can be subsequently powered, without issue.

    Regards,
