      In CV mode,why is the soft start time related to output power and output capacitance? If SSXDIV is set to 100, what power and output capacitance can achieve the maximum soft start time?

    Hello,

    What is your desired soft start time? Are you using our EVM or is it your own design? If it is your own design can you please share the schematic so we can better assist you?

    The soft start time is not related to output power.

    Rather, its related to the soft start time register setting and the compensation capacitor. It is only related to the output capacitor if its orders of magnitude larger than the recommended value based on design constraints.

    If you decide to increase the value of the COMP capacitor, please verify it will not cause instability in your control loop and may adversely effect your transient response. As value of the COMP capacitor increases, your bandwidth will be reduced.
