TPS552892-Q1: EN port operating range

Tool/software:

Dear team,

My customer would like to use TPS552892-Q1 for their application.

- Input 9V~16V / outtput 12V_4A

but there is question regarding EN/UVLO operating condition.

At datasheet, we can see Absolute Maximum ratings like below, EN port is maximum 20V ,but there is no data or recommended operating range of EN/UVLO port. How about Recommended operating conditions of EN/UVLO port.?

Please let me know your opinion.

Hi Nam,

You can find the description in the 7.3.4 part, when EN/UVLO pin voltage is larger than 1.23V(typ), the device is enabled for switching operation. Recommend to use external EN voltage or add voltage divider from Vin at EN pin.

The max operating voltage for EN pin is 20V.

Do you mean Absolute maximum rating value for EN port is same the Recommended Operating max voltage for EN ? Is it right?

Hi Nam,

Yes, correct. But recommend to leave some margin in case there is some voltage variation on the EN supply rail.
