Hello
I am considering using the BQ25820 for battery charging, but how does it differ from the BQ24610?
The battery is a LiFePO4 battery module (12.8Vx2, 20000mAH).
TI recommended the BQ25820, but I would like to use the BQ24610 if possible.
Hello,
Can you provide more details on your requirements?
What is your max input voltage?
What is your max battery voltage/charge current?
Do you want a standalone or host controlled device, through I2C or SMbus?
Best Regards,
Christian.
Hi,
The performance required for a battery charging IC is
battery voltage = 12V x2(pack)
charge current = 2A or more
The battery is a LiFePO4 battery pack.
I'm considering BQ25820, but would like to use BQ24610 if possible.
I don't need host-controlled device information.
Hello,
Yes, based on your requirements you should be able to use either BQ24610 or BQ25820.
Best Regards,
Christian.
