UCC57108: Desat Protection Function

Part Number: UCC57108

Tool/software:

I found that in the datasheet of UCC57108, when a Desat situation occurs, a fault signal will be triggered. However, the fault signal will not be latched, which means when the voltage of collector drops down to the normal range, the fault signal will automatically recover. Is this description right?

Additionally, there's a 'latch' module depicted in the structure of this chip, so how does this 'latch' module function if the fault signal is not latched?

Thanks!
