TPS22948: FAULT INDICATION (FLT)

Part Number: TPS22948

Tool/software:

As mentioned in the datasheet, FLT PIN is to be pulled low during thermal shutdown or reverse current protection.

Can we leave the FLT pin open? or It needs to be given as pulled low or pulled up?

If I leave it as open, what will happen?

  • Hi Gowri,

If you leave the FLTb pin open, it won't work. It is an open drain pin so it need a pull up. During any fault condition like TSD or reverse current, the device will pull it low.

You can leave the pin open if you do wish to use this functionality.

    Best Regards,
    Arush
