TPS7H4003-SEP: Are the NC pins floating metal?

According to the mount and bond diagram, it looks like the NC pins (3, 42, 43, and 44) are not bonded out, so they will be floating unless they are grounded on the PCB the device is mounted on.

Can you clarify what you mean by "contact area" of the pin? Are you referring to the area of the pin that makes contact with the footprint on the PCB? If so, this can be estimated using the package pin diagram in the device datasheet.
