Tool/software:
We are working on a project with BQ79631 and we would like to use the main ADC. The problem is: some information contradicts each other.
Let start with this: in this document SLUSEC2A, Page 8, "VSn, to AVSS, where n = 3 to 16" range min..max "3V..5V",
and "VSn - VSn-1, where n = 2 to 16" range min..max "-1V..5V".
In sluucc3: BQ79631EVM Evaluation Module Page 19. example: VC5 (pin VS5) is on the 5V (TSREF), and the VC6 (pin VS6) is connected trough a divider to Link Plus, so is max 5V+4V=9V.
The VC7 (pin VS7) is below the TSREF, what means VS7-VS6 = -4V.
That means, the VCC6 is above the 5V, and VS7-VS6 is below the -1V.
My question would be: what is the correct way to use the Channels of the BQ79631 Main (and also the AUX) ADC?
Hey Gergely,
In general, the datasheet should have the most accurate information. If you need to follow an example follow what in the typical applications in the datasheet (SLUSEC2A). Have you looked at this section?
