We are testing a new product that features the BQ51050B Qi charger.
The issue we are seeing is that the device is drawing 33uA of quiescent current from the battery during standby mode, which is much higher than the 12~20uA stated in the datasheet. We are able to determine consumption as we have a zero ohm jumper connected to the BAT pin and measure quiescent current with this jumper in circuit and out of circuit.
What could cause this additional current consumption ?
We need to remove as much consumption as possible as the device needs to sleep for a long period of time.
