Does BQ24073 have battery reverse protection function.After reverse connection, the chip heats up and the battery is removed. The chip is connected normally and its function is normal.

    Thank you for reaching out via E2E. Please correct me if my understanding of your question is wrong, but I believe you are asking about battery reverse polarity protection. 

    The BQ24073 does not have battery reverse polarity protection. In the absolute maximum ratings table in datasheet section 8.1 minimum allowable BAT pin voltage is -0.3V. A battery connected with reverse polarity will result in BAT pin voltage beyond this limit and may result in permanent damage to the BQ24073 IC.
