Hello,

In a HV system like ESS applications what kind of isolation to be provided for NTC connections as they are directly connected to bus-bars.

Is there a possibility that the NTC's will see entire system voltage in case of any failures? If so how do we protect AFE from such instances?

    Hello Sen,

    The thermistor itself will likely be at a similar potential as the busbar, since it will be referenced to the board's virtual ground, in that case there may not be a high voltage difference between the NTC and the device.

    However, you could also in theory use an isolated thermistor if you will have the thermistor measuring something that will be at a much different voltage level than your board.
