EV2400: How to set up USB connection between Win 11 computer and EV2400?

Hi,

since I got a new computer with Windows 11, I can not connect to my EV2400 Box.

Are there any new drivers available to handle a USB connection to EV2400 from Win 11?

I used to apply the bqEVSW software for that sort of communication with my battery using a bq20z80 chip.

The error message I get refers to the old EV2300. Why would that be?

Hello Heye,

There are not any drivers specifically for the EV2400 and Windows 11. I would recommend using Windows 10 or older with the EV2400.

Hello Robert,
thanks for answering, but Windows 10 doesn't seem to be an option for our IT department.

I figured out that the Battery Management Studio (bqStudio) is still able to USB-connect with the EV2400 box from within Windows 11.

Our old batteries still run on a bq20z80 chipset. Unfortunately this chipset is not directly supported by bqStudio.
Can you recommend a bqStudio supported bq chip which is the most similar to bq20z80?

That would help me a lot for at least reading out our old batteries.

Hello,

I suppose the BQ40Z50 would be close to this. The register map will be very different though, so you cannot use the BQ20z80 with the BQ40z50 configuration in BQStudio.
