UCC28950: DCDC solution: input 30-130VDC, output 28V/42A.

My customer want to design a No-isolate DCDC, input voltage is 30-130VDC, output voltage is 28V and current is 42A.I run webench and suggest UCC2895x. But the customer thinks that the circuit of UCC28950 is too complex and hopes to find a simpler solution. Could you pls advise the suitable solution? Thanks.

Hello,

You can do this with a phase shifted full bridge and will provide ZVS and the highest efficiency of 90-94% efficiency.

If the customer wants to attempt this design we have an application note and design tool that can help them with the design process you can find at the following links.

However, it is not the only solution for accomplishing this design.
