Tool/software:
I'm setting up the fuel gauge for a 14 series cell NiMH pack, and I want to use dT/dt as the primary method of charge termination. So I have configured bit 4 of the Pack Configuration Low Byte register to be 1 and bit 3 to be 0.
And because the manual says this:
"NOTE: When NiMH or PbA chemistries are used, only one
bit of Bit 3 and Bit 4 in the low bytes of the pack configuration register can be set. The default
setting is not valid for NiMH or PbA chemistries."
I am concerned that it will not use -dV/dt detection as a charge termination method. I would like the gauge to be able to detect both dT/dt and -dV/dt as termination methods in the event that the temperature sensor has been detached that the voltage can be used as a backup method of detection to prevent overcharging. Would it be possible to do this?
Thanks
