LM5069: inrush current suppression circuit

Part Number: LM5069

Tool/software:

This is our self-built input inrush current suppression circuit. When it outputs to an electronic load in CC mode (over 5A) or encounters a short circuit, the MOSFET gets damaged instantly. Could you explain the reason for this? Can your IC LM5069 mitigate this risk?

Our requirements are as follows:

  1. The MOSFET should not fail when driving an electronic load in CC mode.
  2. The MOSFET should remain intact if the input power protection triggers (hiccups) during normal operation with a CC load.
  3. The MOSFET should survive in the event of a load short circuit.

Could the LM5069, along with its controlled peripheral circuit, fulfill these requirements?
