TPS92624-Q1: Fault bus for one-fails-others-on

Part Number: TPS92624-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

May I ask if the resistor in the picture below can be changed to 300ohm? Thanks.

Regards,

Ivy

  • Hi Ivy,

Is there a specific reason why you want to use 300-Ω for this resistor? The fault pull-down current is 2-4mA. If 2mA is pulled through the 300-Ω resistor, there is only a 0.6V drop from the emitter to base of the PNP which could prevent the transistor from turning fully on. I probably wouldn't use anything less than 500-Ω or more, depending on the transistor selected and the operating conditions. A typical pull-up resistor is between 1k-Ω and 10k-Ω.

    Regards,

    Zach
