    Hi YJ,

    The device has input current regulation which you can refer to in datasheet page 16 section 9.3.4. You can set input current limit to 2A to avoid overloading the adapter.

    正常情况下我需要2A充电电流，而且适配器可满足。但是有的情况，电流从其他通道过来，小于2A，我是想确认这个情况会不会造成超载？如果我设置current limit to 2A，是不是充电电流也会限制到2A？不能更大电流充电了？

    Hi YJ,

    Input current limit is on the adapter side. Since this is a buck charger, if your adapter can provide 2A current, your max charge current will be higher than 2A.

    If you set input current limit to 2A and then use a adapter has lower current capability than 2A, your adapter output voltage will droop and eventually crash.

    If you want to avoid this happening, then you will need a charger with input voltage regulation or VINDPM. I suggest you take a look at BQ25672 which has both input current and voltage regulation function.
