Hello everyone,

I am using the BQ76952 as the AFE in my BMS

And for praticullar project the castumer dosent want DSG protection in the circut.

My question is how to do it using this IC? What about the parrallel FETS in the DSG/CHG protection line?

Where can i read about it more? I would like to get some sources

Hello Stas,

Section 5.2 Primary Protections in the BQ76952 Technical Reference Manual (TRM) may provide more information for what you’re looking for, including how FET drivers can be controlled depending on customer requirements. Section 13.3.3.8 Settings:Protection:DSG FET Protections A to Section 13.3.3.10 Settings:Protection:DSG FET Protections C mentioned in the TRM, should tell you specifically what protections you can enable or are enabled, that will disable the DSG FET.

This Parallel Paths with the BQ76952 Battery Monitor Family application note should help regarding parallel FETs with our IC. Section 5 Parallel FET Test Circuits in the Multiple FETs with the BQ769x2 Battery Monitors should also be useful.
