UC1825: Availability of screening test

Part Number: UC1825

Tool/software:

Hi team,

The customer is experiencing problems with the UC1825L883B.

The UC1825L883B operates normally at normal temperatures, but at high temperature (ambient temperature + 60°C), the OUT A and OUT B pins' PWM output width decreases, causing a drop in circuit output voltage.

Voltage and current feedback that decreases the PWM output width of the OUT pins when an abnormality occurs is not confirmed.

Please refer to page 18 “4.2 Screening” of the document at the following URL.

https://landandmaritimeapps.dla.mil/Downloads/MilSpec/Smd/87681.pdf

It seems that screening test according to MIL-STD-883 method 5004 is conducted, are all devices screening tests conducted during pre-shipment testing?

Thanks

Best regards,

Masahiro Kobayashi

  • Hi,

Who is the end customer? What is the product? All devices have to pass the production test before shipment. If you see problems in your application, please provide more detail on the problems including your test waveforms such as current sense, feedback, input voltage, since these can affect the PWM.

  • Hi Hong san,

    Thank you for your reply.

Sorry, I cannot reveal end customer and product in a public E2E forum.

I would first like to know if screening test in accordance with MIL-STD-883 method 5004 are performed the production test before shipment.

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Masahiro Kobayashi

  • Hi,

Can you ask that customer directly contact TI to get that info. We cannot disclose non datasheet info here publically as well.

  • Hi Hong Huang,

Thanks for your answers to our questions.

Firstly,I would like ask you to show me the contents of refer to page 18 4.2 Screening of the document.

In particular, I would like to know the temperature conditions and number of cycles from MIL-STD-883 Method 5004 3.1.4 Temperature Cycle.

Secondly, I would like to know the screening tests are done to all product according with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535, or only performed on apportion of products sampled?

I look forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Y.F

  • Hi,
