Hi Ernesto
What kind of product you are looking for? tps54232 is buck converter, https://www.ti.com/product/TPS54232
Thanks and best regards.
Hello Gui He, thanks for replying to my request. The issue here is that I have found this 5423217MA9QD component with a T.I. logo and installed on one PCBA and was trying to find out if it is a direct replacement for a T.I. LM317LIDR , but couldn't find its datasheet. Do you whether it is a pin-to-pin equivalent?
Hi Ernesto
Do you have any information about what application is the PCBA for? and is there a block diagram and the function of the 54232 in the diagram?
TPS54232 is a DCDC Buck converter, the datasheet: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tps54232.pdf?ts=1732241618208&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FTPS54232
LM317 is a linear voltage regulator , the datasheet is also available on ti.com :https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm317.pdf?ts=1732241739724&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fsitesearch%252Fen-us%252Fdocs%252Funiversalsearch.tsp%253FlangPref%253Den-US%2526nr%253D890%2526searchTerm%253DLM317
They are different products and should not be direct replacement.
Thanks and best regards.
Hi Gui He,
the circuit is designed for a LM317, but on the same board I found someone installed a 5423217MA9QD chip. With the explanation you provided I am know certain 54232 was mistakingly installed on the PCBA. I appreciate your help on clarifying this issue. Thank you.
