Tool/software:
dears,
the customer wondering how tps62130 works when over current happens, in what condition, the over current will lead to TPS62130 to shutdown?
the datasheet just described how current limit works, but does not explain how the over current lead to device shutdown before the thermal shutdown, if Vout/FB voltage drop (and what is the threshold?) will cause shutdown as many other devices do :
At heavy loads, the current limit determines the maximum output current. If the current limit is reached, the high-side FET is turned off. Avoiding shoot-through current, then the low-side FET switches on to allow the inductor current to decrease. The low-side current limit is typically 3.5 A. The high-side FET turns on again only if the current in the low-side FET has decreased below the low-side current limit threshold.
would you please help to confirm this?
Thanks!
