Hi,

1. Is I2C control mandatory for the BQ25756E? Is it correct to understand that it can be operated standalone? At this time, is it correct to understand that only the functions of ILIM_HIZ, ICHG and FB pins can be set?

2. If it is operated standalone only, is it correct to understand that safety timers cannot be set?

    Hello Yuta,

    1. The BQ25756E can be operated in standalone. The switching frequency, input current limit, charge current, and charge voltage. PFM can be disabled by supplying an external clock source. The operating temperature range can also be set with the TS pin.

    2. The charging safety timers will still work. The charging safety timer will just operate in the default settings.
