TPS65219EVM-SKT: Cannot write LDO1-related settings to NVM.

Part Number: TPS65219EVM-SKT

Tool/software:

Hi, team,

I am testing the TPS65219EVM-SKT using the TPS65219GUI tool,
I am unable to write the value set in Digital Pins configuration-VSEL/VSEL_DDR (pin#12) to NVM.

No errors or other problems occur when writing to NVM.
However, when the power of TPS65219EVM-SKT is turned on again, the value is back to the value before writing.
(The new set values are not reflected.)

Other settings can be written to NVM.

My goal is to have LDO1 output 1.2V
(I want it to output 1.2V right after startup)

Best regards,

Sato.

  • Hi Sato,

Some registers cannot be changed while the device is in Active mode, so it is best to follow the steps in the NVM programming page of the GUI (disable I2C, etc.)

See the image below from the programming guide document that shows the recommended steps: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slvucm5/slvucm5.pdf  Section 4 of this document has the step to program the device. So in Step 3 of the image below is where you would modify the LDO1 voltage register.

The LDO1 output can also be controlled by the VSEL_SD/VSEL_DDR pin, so make sure to carefully read this section of the datasheet to understand how to configure this pin and whether to pull this pin high or low for the desired output.

    Best regards,

    Matt
