TPS2419: Cant' start in 75C temperature

Dears:

Customer use TPS2419 to do 3.3V oring, they found below circuit has abnormal high temperature issue

1- Vin=3.3V, load=1A, when do 75C high temperature test, board can't start when store over 5 minutes.

2- It can work normal in 25C and -40C temperature.

3-When start in 75C with 1A load, MOSFET GS voltage is very strange.

Could you please help check what happened ? Thanks.

Hi Haiwen,

Is the VGS going negative?

1. Can you try to turn-on at no load?

2. Turn-on without the FET (no load)?

Yes, it can work without load.

If it can start, then add load and higher the temperature, it still can wokr.

Hi Haiwen,

1. Is the GATE really going negative or is it probed incorrectly.

2.Is the device damaged if gate is negative?

3.Can you share the following profile : VIN ,VOUT, ILOAD, GATE

Shiven:

1.the waveform is MOSFET gate to source voltage, not the gate to GND voltage.

2.IC is OK. not damaged.

3.i will send IC to do FA.
